Adelboden
Adelboden is a small village in Berner Oberland, surrounded by mountains like the Lohner, the Tschingeljochtighorn or the Wildstrubel. As we have the big advantage of a huge house we are allowed to use sometimes, we like to spent there weekends or weeks in either sommer and winter. So there is a not-too-small amount of pictures from Adelboden in our gallery.
All the views are right from our house!
Summer 2005
The last stay there was in Summer 2005 to enjoy 1st of August, the Swiss National Day, and say goodbye to the Swiss Mountains before moving to flat Central North Carolina. With a whole bunch of friends (Bircher, Martin, Lars, Linda, Chrigle, Schibli) we faced the never-ending rain and the unusual coldness.
We enjoyed Salvation Army, Fireworks, Cholereschlucht and Pochtechessel- all the must-have-seens in Adelboden! When one after the other of our friends left for work or further holidays (except Schibli, who left because of the coldness), the sun suddenly started to show up and we had two wonderful warm last days hiking the Gsür and visiting the Engstligenalp.

My favourite one of the mountains...
